In 93... They always put on a good show and i leave inspired...I hope they are doing their thing in 50 years..

AMERICAN HERO SERIES: JACK JOHNSON

This is a stencil, I am using stencils lately.
They have an immediacy about, and utilitarian aspect that dissolves any pretense about fine touches.
I mean they are a quick way to deliver a message anywhere and in mass. The thing I don't appreciate about them is when they are used strictly for maximizing the profits from selling "Art" meant to be product, but is served up on a nice platter as sincere effort.

my revolt wakes after long wars after short tedious disco naps
it is looking for a fight
not wanting confrontation
physically able to break even wind
emotionally so delicate it weeps for turbulence
potentially, willing to do the opposite of both.

vibes and fire-water...
We decided that a spontaneous street installation was in order....

Ive done well over 3000 paintings. Paintings on every scale, as small as a stamp to the hallways,and gymnasium-wall mural collaborations I did with the Nu-Tribes Crew at Meany School in Seattle, Wa. Which is co-incidentally Jimi Hendrix's old school...how lovely is that truth?)
